Yes, I have to agree with all the negative comments. Problems range from complete loss of connectivity to partial loss, usually scroll wheel. USB wireless mice work fine. Dell Studio 1735 also has problems with HP Bluetooth printer which HP acknowledges has problems connecting. The 5000 worked fine for about a year, now drops out every day, usually after Resume. Have to Remove, then Add in Control Panel>Bluetooth Devices to get it to work - only advantage of 5000 is it saves one USB port and has some additional right button functions that aren't on the Dell touchpad. Can't agree with Armando, the battery thing is a red herring, it's the mouse - Electronic Engineer

I been using this mouse for the past 2 years. It cut's off like some comments but I think the problem is with the battery and not the BT, I simply turn it around, move the batteries with my fingers without take them out and I am back in business within 3 seconds, the mouse is great besides that anoying problem. I highly recommend this mouse. I am a software programmer.

Yeah I just got one of these from office depot yesterday because it was the only bluetooth they had there (yeah office depot sucks). Anyway I got it working for about 10 minutes then it stopped. Reading these reviews I am kicking myself in the ass. My internet connection went out at the same time. Huh I wonder why....If you purchased this mouse....TAKE IT BACK NOW, BEFORE IT IS TO LATE!

I have purchased two of these for to use on my Sony Vaio with Windows 7. The first one lasted 2 months - the second one just a month and a half. It always lost connection - you have to uninstall and reinstall it over and over again, until it just won't reconnect again. It is really too bad, because when it worked I was very happy with it.

I have bought a couple of bt mice and the MS5000 is my favorite. I have a macbook pro and use Parallels with XP to run AutoCad2007 all day long. The mouse is in my hands 5 hours a day. Scroll the wheel for zoom and hold to pan in autocad is a 100% must and this mouse is the only one, I have found, that will do this. Without this ability I could not run autocad on my mac. I had some trouble with setting the dialog box options exactly right so I purchased Steermouse ($20+-) which finally made it just right.
I have big hands and the size although I would prefer a bit bigger is very comfortable.
Between work and home I sometimes, once or twice a week, have to use the bt setup dialog box to find it but it always does within a minute. Response time is as good as a wired mouse.
Battery (2)AAA life is about a month, I seldom remember to turn it off.

Bought this mouse awhile ago, have tried using it on my Dell Laptop (brand new, windows xp) as well as my Toshiba (Windows 7) and the majority of the time if its seen, it loses connection. Trying to reconnect usually doesn't work. Once and awhile it will suddenly be detected and work but if I leave the computer on, but not in use for a period of time and comeback and try and use mouse and will stop working again. Moving on to a different brand, and would NOT recommend this mouse. My other bluetooth devices are easily seen and work on these laptops. They can even be seen when the device is in another room, and this mouse is right next to the computer and cant be found!

I bought mine about 3 and half years ago and have never had any problems with it. Batteries last about 6 to 8 weeks. It's a great little mouse.
